Evite…the way forward

I’ve always found it a pain in the arse to organise events with people, trying to reschedule dates, communicate with who is free and when…so its a relief to hear about evite.

A lot of my friends are taking this site on for event planning for birthdays, leaving do’s and general event organising.  This particular one I found to be hilarious:

Monday morning blues…

Me walking into the office Monday morning:

“Blah…stupid tube…left the house at 7:50am and its now 10am! Stuck in traffic for 30 minutes due to rain. Central line suspended. Circle and District lines delayed. Hopped onto Piccadilly line, for it to stop between every single stop all the way to Knightsbridge!!! Then come out to see the 137 bus pulling away…makes me wonder why I bothered to come into work at all.”

And you wonder why commuter rage exists?!?!

With reference to the Euro lottery:

“I take it that because we’re all sitting at our desks…none of us won the millions on Friday then!?!”

Yep that’s right…I missed out on the winnings…oh well, there’s always next time!

Eric Meyer’s post in Think Vitamin made me chuckle.

It is difficult for some to get into a job and suddenly be bombarded with things they never thought they’d have to take on board.

Spookily it kinda goes hand in hand with Molly Holzschlag’s post on specialization in the web as well as my very own post.

Specialisation in these fields is a tiresome and often long process which can take its toll, especially when the industry is constantly moving into new areas faster than we can manage!

If you’re gonna delve into other areas, do it properly…that’s what I say!

Banksy…genius!

Kissing Coppers

I’ve been a fan of Banksy the stencil artist from Bristol, for a few years now, and I can only applaud him on his work everytime I come across something new he has done.

I may be a bit out of the loop with this, but his recent adaptation of Paris Hilton’s album, images, cd and all (I hear it was 500 in total) which were found in Birmingham’s HMV earlier this month was very amusing.

Paris Hilton's new album

When the media goes on and on about these self obsessed celebrities, its great to see something come about which counteracts this obsession and hits the nail right on the head.
Pure class!
