With the recent article on Microsoft’s release of IE7, developers are gonna have their work cut out for them with regards to the usage of hacks specifically for older browser versions of IE.
I for one am guilty for doing such a thing, despite the warnings given in the IEblog so I am frantically trying to piece things together with the projects at work, and using what options I have to make the transition to IE7 seamless.
Easy as pie!

I’ve been coming across a problem with one of the benefits of using CSS for layout…caching!
For those of you that may update their css files on a site that you frequently visit, you need to consider the fact that even though the html may change, the css file will remain the same on the client side (due to the caching).
Stefan Hayden has found a fix for this, which he wrote around April (I guess I was a bit slow on this issue), so HURRAH, looks like there is a solution to accessing different versions of css files without the need of renaming the files!

So here lies the second day summary of the @media conference, which was jam packed full of geeky stuff. (more…)
Having fully recovered from the last two day’s worth of events, I guess you could say its about time that I give a quick overview of the two day affair…one - so that I can keep a note of the conference, and two - to share with those that didn’t get a chance to attend, a rundown of what went on. Today I attended the Dave Shea workshop run by Carson Workshops, and all I can do is commend Ryan and Gill for organising such a great and informal workshop.
Dave is obviously a respected individual within the field, and was able to provide us with the knowledge that can be applied to our day to day work in CSS. It was refreshing and reassuring to know that I am not the only one that does things wrong, as even a few of the attendees pointed out slight errors in the code example session at the very end :).
Due to the size of the workshop, I was able to mingle with people that have a passion and desire to improve sites as much as I do, and discuss with Dave his plans to even do siteseeing around London.
I came away obtaining answers to questions I had, and hopefully this will be one of the many workshops I hope to attend in the future by these guys!
Excellent!!!!!
