For those interested in a bit of Electronica and funky beats, head on down to the Spread Eagle this next Saturday (11th) for Shoosh. One of my dear friends is djing, but I haven’t had the chance to go yet, but from what I’ve heard its a good crowd with good music…
So be there or be square!!!

For those that have experienced a night out on the dancefloor with yours truly, you’ll be fully aware I like to dance…love it love it!!! I’m appreciative for all forms, but hip hop dance has always been something I could watch forever…popping, locking, break dancing…can’t say a bad thing about anyone that does it!
So when the Rumble advert came along in the Metro, I was running around trying to find people that wanted to see it. Its a Hip Hop dance performance based on the classic story of Romeo and Juliet…so a bit of ol’ Shakespeare thrown in with contemporary dance!!!
Alas, I’m so slow with booking that now the tickets have sold out at the Royal Festival Hall. Gutted…that’ll teach me for being so slow and not booking straight away…so for those that are going…enjoy, and do let me know if its any good!!!

For those that may not know…vivabit are sponsoring the @media event in June.

I missed it last year, but the lineup is basically a who’s who for design, development and standards across the atlantic and Europe.
Should be good…gonna try and get booked onto that pronto!

Today I attended the Dave Shea workshop run by Carson Workshops, and all I can do is commend Ryan and Gill for organising such a great and informal workshop.
Dave is obviously a respected individual within the field, and was able to provide us with the knowledge that can be applied to our day to day work in CSS. It was refreshing and reassuring to know that I am not the only one that does things wrong, as even a few of the attendees pointed out slight errors in the code example session at the very end :).
Due to the size of the workshop, I was able to mingle with people that have a passion and desire to improve sites as much as I do, and discuss with Dave his plans to even do siteseeing around London.
I came away obtaining answers to questions I had, and hopefully this will be one of the many workshops I hope to attend in the future by these guys!
Excellent!!!!!

It’ll be coming up to a year since I left the UK to go travelling around South East Asia for 6 months!!!
Hard to believe that its gone by so fast, and I’m all setup in a job working the 9to5 again!!! Meeting up with friends we’re all hoping that 2006 is a great year for us, but looking back at last year, I couldn’t really ask for anything better. Visiting different countries, exposing myself to so many cultures, meeting so many different people, getting into the active trekking, and just learning so much about myself…a life lesson that I would never trade for anything else!!!
When will I get to do this again? Who knows, but I is planning to go to S. America this summer (only for 2 weeks mind you) to see something different and new. By the time I’m done with being on this planet, I’ll have visited every continent…well that’s the plan anyway!
