Swotting up!

So after a month of applying, I’ve landed myself a new job, and start in a couple of weeks…but its suddenly dawned on me that I’ve got to seriously brush up on the daily ins and outs of coding, the web, usability, accessibility, design and all that jazz.

That’s why I’ve taken it upon myself to read books eg:

• Bulletproof Web Design (D. Cederholm)
• Designing with Web Standards (J. Zeldman)
• the Zen of CSS design - visual enlightenment for the web (D. Shea & M. E. Holzschlag)
• Web Standards Solutions - The Markup and Style Handbook (D. Cederholm)

And add a bunch of links to the right here…but whew…my brain can only absorb so much…however, any other recommendations for links or books would be greatly appreciated.

Traveljournal back up!

Always the way that when you send a link out for people to see, the page becomes buggy or redundant.

Well, after a week of being down, my traveljournal is back up and running!!! Hurrah.

Online photo albums

After being loyal to Ofoto, I guess I just got lazy with even bothering to look for other online albums that were cheaper and just as good quality.

Signed up to goodness knows how many after returning from Asia, just so I could get the best deal possible. MyPixMania looked promising, but is a bit buggy and I lose my patience if I use it, but I’ve now found a fab fab one…SnapFish, easy to use, cheap to develop, and the photos aren’t too bad either!!!

Now all I need to do is find some photo albums to store all these beauties!
